Please take note of some new requirements (highlighted) in the DBMS dress code. Have a happy, healthy, and safe summer!
TOPS
- Navy blue or burgundy
- Solid in color – no logos or designs
- Polo or oxford style – all shirts must have a collar
- All shirts must be tucked in
BOTTOMS
- Navy, black, or khaki uniform pants or shorts, solid in color
- No denim or blue jeans
- Skirts/shorts/skorts must be within two inches of the knee. Skirts should not have a split above the knee.
- No jeggings or leggings
- No sagging. Underpants should not be visible at any time
- No workout/yoga pants
SHOES/BOOTS/SNEAKERS/BELTS
- Students may wear tennis/athletic shoes
- Students may wear boat style shoes, such as Sperry or casual shoes, such as Tom’s
- No open-toed shoes, sandals, clogs, slides, flip-flops, heels, or Crocs are allowed. The entire foot must be covered.
- Belts must be worn if there are belt loops on the pants. Buckles cannot be large or have spikes or studs.
Socks/Tights Must be worn
Plain navy, white, or black tights are acceptable.
OUTERWEAR
- Plain Navy blue that are solid in color-no logos/designs
- No hoodies unless it is school paraphernalia
- No headgear (hoods, caps, etc.) is to be worn in any parts of the building
ACCESSORIES
Students can wear:
- Earrings no larger than a quarter
- One necklace and/or bracelet or ring
- Lanyards must be worn inside of shirts
- Make-up should be minimal and not distractive
Students cannot wear:
- Bandanas, scarves, doo-rags anywhere on their body
- Clothes with chains connected to them
- Stickers on the face or face paint
- Facial piercings or distractive body piercings
- Blankets
- Hats are not permitted by male or female on their head or in their pockets.
BOOKBAGS/PURSES
- **Clear Bookbags/backpacks ONLY. No mesh or any other backpacks will be allowed at school.
- Bookbags are not allowed in classrooms
- Purses should be no larger than a textbook. No backpack purses are allowed. No fanny packs are allowed.
Students are expected to come to school neatly dressed every day. Any article of clothing or accessory that poses a threat to student safety, interferes with student learning, or is offensive, is not permitted and will be handled by Administration.
